پارلیمنٹ میں لڑائی جھگڑے کے حوالے سے خبریں روز کا معمول ہیں، کہیں بات نوک جھونک پر ختم ہوجاتی ہے تو کہیں بات لڑائی جھگڑے تک پہنچ جاتی ہے لیکن نیوزی لینڈ کی پارلیمنٹ میں اسپیکر نے وزیراعظم کو ہی ایوان سے باہر نکال کر نئی مثال قائم کردی۔
غیر ملکی خبر ایجنسی کے مطابق نیوزی لینڈ کے وزیراعظم جانکی پارلیمنٹ میں پاناما لیکس کے حوالے سے اپوزیشن کے سوالات کے جواب دے رہے تھے کہ اس دوران گرما گرمی بڑھ گئی جس پر پارلیمنٹ کے اسپیکر ڈیوڈ کارٹر نے وزیر اعظم جانکی سمیت دوسرے اراکین پارلیمنٹ کو خاموش ہونے کی ہدایت دی لیکن وزیر اعظم نے اسپیکر کی بات کو نظر انداز کرتے ہوئے اپنی بات جاری رکھی اور چلاتے رہے جس پر اسپیکر نے وزیراعظم کو پارلیمنٹ سے باہر نکل جانے کا حکم دے دیا۔
پارلیمنٹ کے اسپیکر ڈیوڈ کارٹر کا کہنا تھا کہ وزیراعظم ایوان کا حصہ ہیں اور وہ بھی پارلیمنٹ کے دوسرے اراکین سے مختلف نہیں لہٰذا ان کے ساتھ بھی دیگر اراکین جیسا رویہ اختیار کرنا چاہیے جب کہ میں نے وزیراعظم کو متعدد بار خاموش ہونے کا کہا لیکن انہوں میری بات پر کوئی توجہ نہیں دی۔

The website for United Gun Group began hosting the auction Thursday after another website, GunBroker.com, took down the auction saying it wanted "no part in the listing on our website or in any of the publicity it is receiving."
Hours later, United Gun Group tweeted that it would post Zimmerman's ad. The new link was posted, along with a statement from Zimmerman. The site calls itself a "social market place for the firearms community."
Bidding on the 9 mm Kel-Tec PF-9 pistol began at $5,000. By Friday morning, the site showed bidding had surpassed $25 million with the leading bidder using the screen name "Racist McShootface."
Critics called the auction an insensitive move to profit from the slaying.
Zimmerman had told Orlando, Florida, TV station WOFL that the pistol was returned to him by the U.S. Justice Department, which took it after he was acquitted in Martin's 2012 shooting death.
Zimmerman's listing said a portion of the proceeds would go toward fighting what Zimmerman calls violence by the Black Lives Matter movement against law enforcement officers, combatting anti-gun rhetoric of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and ending the career of state attorney Angela Corey, who led Zimmerman's prosecution.
The listing ended with a Latin phrase that translates as "if you want peace, prepare for war."
Zimmerman, now 32, has said he was defending himself when he killed Martin, an unarmed black 17-year-old, in a gated community near Orlando. Martin, who lived in Miami with his mother, was visiting his father at the time.
Zimmerman, who identifies as Hispanic, was acquitted in Martin's February 2012 shooting death. The case sparked protests and a national debate about race relations. The Justice Department later decided not to prosecute Zimmerman on civil rights charges.
Lucy McBath, the mother of another black teenager shot by a white man during an argument at a Jacksonville convenience store in 2012, said the auction reflected a "deplorable lack of value for human life."
"I am deeply disappointed that the man who killed Trayvon Martin is trying to sell the very gun he used to cut that precious life short to raise money," McBath said in a written statement.
The slaying of her son, 17-year-old Jordan Davis, by Michael Dunn drew parallels at the time to the Zimmerman-Martin case. Dunn told police he had felt threatened by Davis. Unlike Zimmerman, Dunn was convicted of murder.
Since Zimmerman was acquitted, he has been charged with assault based on complaints from two girlfriends. Both women later refused to press charges and Zimmerman wasn't prosecuted. His estranged wife, Shellie Zimmerman, also accused him of smashing her iPad during an argument days after she filed divorce papers. No charges were filed because of lack of evidence. They were divorced in January.
Orlando-based attorney Mark O'Mara has previously represented Zimmerman. A receptionist in O'Mara's office said Thursday that he no longer represents Zimmerman and had no comment.
Martin's parents declined to address Zimmerman's actions in statements made through representatives.
Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, said through an attorney that she would rather focus on her work with the Trayvon Martin Foundation than respond to "Zimmerman's actions."
Daryl Parks, whose firm represented the Martin family during the trial, is now chairman of Fulton's foundation. He says Fulton is pushing for policies that protect youth and address gun violence.
Fulton also founded the Circle of Mothers conference, a three-day event to help mothers who have "lost children or family members" to gun violence. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be keynote speaker at the event in Fort Lauderdale starting May 20.
In the auction listing, Zimmerman cited strong interest from collectors including "The Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC."
Smithsonian spokesman John Gibbons denied any interest.
"The Smithsonian has never expressed an interest in collecting this firearm and has no intention of collecting or displaying this firearm," Gibbons said.

پاناما لیکس میں نام آنے پر اپوزیشن جماعتوں نے وزیراعظم سے وضاحت طلب کر لی ہے۔ لیبر پارٹی سے تعلق رکھنے والے رکن پینی وونگ کا کہنا ہے کہ وہ شخص جو اس ملک کا وزیراعظم ہے اسے پاناما لیکس کے ذریعے ٹیکس ہیون میں اپنا نام آنے کی مکمل وضاحت کرنی چاہیئے۔ ہم اس کا انتظار نہیں کر سکتے کہ کوئی اخبار ہمارے وزیراعظم کا نام ایسی شیل کمپنی سے جوڑے، وزیراعظم آسٹریلوی عوام کو اپنے بزنس سے متعلق تفصیلات سے آگاہ کریں۔
واضح رہے کہ اس سے قبل آئس لینڈ کے وزیراعظم اور فرانس کے وزیر پاناما لیکس میں اپنا نام آنے پر استعفیٰ دے چکے ہیں جب کہ برطانوی وزیراعظم ڈیوڈ کیمرون کو بھی اپنے والد کی آف شور کمپنی سے مراعات حاصل کرنے پر ایوان میں آکر وضاحت دینا پڑی تھی۔ اس کے علاوہ پاکستان کے وزیراعظم نواز شریف کو بھی اپنے بیٹوں کی آف شور کمپنیوں کے حوالے سے اپوزیشن کی تنقید کا سامنا ہے۔

غیر ملکی خبر رساں ادارے برازیل کی سینیٹ نے گھنٹوں کی بحث کے بعد صدر دلما روزیف کے خلاف مواخذے کی تحریک کثرت رائے سے منطور کر لی ہے، مواخذے کی تحریک 22 کے مقابلے میں 55 ووٹوں سے منظور کی گئی۔
سینیٹ سے مواخذے کی تحریک منظور ہونے کے بعد صدر دلما روزیف 180 روز کے لئے معطل ہو گئی ہیں اور اس دوران ان پر عائد الزامات کی مکمل تحقیقات تک ملک کی باگ ڈور نائب صدر مائیکل ٹیمر کے پاس رہے گی۔ مواخذے کی تحریک منظور ہونے کے بعد برازیل میں 13 برس بعد بائیں بازو کی ورکرز پارٹی کی حکومت ختم ہو گئی ہے۔
واضح رہے کہ گزشتہ ماہ برازیل کے ایوان زیریں نے بھی دلما روزیف کے خلاف مواخذے کی تحریک پیش کی گئی جس میں 513 کے ایوان میں سے 367 ممبران نے حصہ لیا اور پھر 342 سے زائد اراکین نے مواخذے کی تحریک کے حق میں ووٹ کاسٹ کیا۔

Obama Administration to Issue Decree on Transgender Access to School Restrooms

WASHINGTON — In the middle of a legal fight with North Carolina over transgender rights, the Obama administration is planning to issue a sweeping decree telling every public school district in the country to allow transgender students to use the bathrooms that match their gender identity.
The letter to school districts that will go out Friday describing what they should do to ensure that none of their students are discriminated against, signed by officials of the Justice Department and Department of Education, does not have the force of law. But it contains an implicit threat: Schools that do not abide by the Obama administration’s interpretation of the law could face lawsuits or a loss of federal aid.
The move is certain to draw fresh criticism, particularly from Republicans, that the federal government is wading into local matters and imposing its own values on communities across the country that may not agree. It represents the latest example of the Obama administration using a combination of policies, lawsuits and public statements to change the civil rights landscape for gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgender people.

After supporting the rights of gay people to marry, allowing them to serve openly in the military and prohibiting federal contractors from discriminating against them, the administration has made bathrooms its latest battleground.
“No student should ever have to go through the experience of feeling unwelcome at school or on a college campus,” John B. King Jr., the secretary of the Department of Education, said in a statement. “We must ensure that our young people know that whoever they are or wherever they come from, they have the opportunity to get a great education in an environment free from discrimination, harassment and violence.”
Courts have not settled the question of whether the nation’s sex discrimination laws apply in matters of gender identity. But administration officials, emboldened by a federal appeals court ruling in Virginia last month, think they have the upper hand. This week, the Justice Department and North Carolina sued each other over a state law that restricts access to bathrooms, locker rooms and changing rooms.
“A school may not require transgender students to use facilities inconsistent with their gender identity or to use individual-user facilities when other students are not required to do so,” according to the letter, a copy of which was provided to The New York Times.
A school’s obligation under federal law “to ensure nondiscrimination on the basis of sex requires schools to provide transgender students equal access to educational programs and activities even in circumstances in which other students, parents, or community members raise objections or concerns,” the letter states. “As is consistently recognized in civil rights cases, the desire to accommodate others’ discomfort cannot justify a policy that singles out and disadvantages a particular class of students.”
As soon as a child’s parent or legal guardian asserts a gender identity for the student that “differs from previous representations or records,” the letter says, the child is to be treated accordingly — without any requirement for a medical diagnosis or birth certificate to be produced. It says that schools may — but are not required to — provide other restroom and locker room options to students who seek “additional privacy” for whatever reason.
Attached to the letter, the Obama administration will include a 25-page document describing “emerging practices” that are already in place in many schools around the country. Those included installing privacy curtains or allowing students to change in bathroom stalls.
In a blog post accompanying the letter, senior officials at the Justice and Education departments said they issued it in response to a growing chorus of inquiries from educators, parents and students across the country, including from the National Association of Secondary School Principals, to clarify their obligations and “best practices” for the treatment of transgender students.
“Schools want to do right by all of their students and have looked to us to provide clarity on steps they can take to ensure that every student is comfortable at their school, is in an environment free of discrimination, and has an opportunity to thrive,” wrote Catherine E. Lhamon, the assistant secretary of education for civil rights, and Vanita Gupta, head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.
The White House has called North Carolina’s law “meanspirited,” and said this week that federal agencies were continuing a review of their policies on the treatment of transgender people while the administration waged its legal battle with the state.
President Obama condemned the law last month, saying it was partly the result of politics and “emotions” that people had on the issue.
“When it comes to respecting the equal rights of all people, regardless of sexual orientation, whether they’re transgender or gay or lesbian, although I respect their different viewpoints, I think it’s very important for us not to send signals that anybody is treated differently,” Mr. Obama said at a news conference in London.
The struggle over the rights of transgender people has reverberated on the presidential campaign trail and become a defining issue in the final year of Mr. Obama’s tenure, prompting boycotts of North Carolina by some celebrities and businesses that had planned to create jobs there. The fresh guidance to be issued on Friday seemed certain to intensify that debate, and showed that Mr. Obama and his administration intend to press the issue of transgender rights aggressively as the legal challenge unfolds.
The Justice Department has for years made gay and transgender issues centerpieces of its civil rights agenda. Former Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. described that campaign as a continuation of the civil rights era that brought equal rights to African-Americans. And this week, Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch, spoke passionately to transgender people as she cast the lawsuit against North Carolina in historic terms.
“We stand with you,” she said. “And we will do everything we can to protect you going forward. Please know that history is on your side.”
Some Republicans have defended North Carolina’s law by arguing that it would be inappropriate to allow transgender women to use the same bathroom as young girls. Before ending his presidential bid last week, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas charged that Donald J. Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, and Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee, “both agree that grown men should be allowed to use the little girls’ restroom.”

ڈبلیو ایچ او کے ماہرین کا کہنا ہے کہ شہری فضائی آلودگی خوفناک شرح سے بڑھ رہی ہے اور انسانی صحت کے لیے تباہ کن ہے۔ اقوامِ متحدہ نے اس پر بھی خبردار کیا ہے کہ دنیا کے بڑے شہروں میں ہوا و فضا کا معیار تیزی سے گررہا ہے جس سے امراضِ قلب، دمے اور فالج کے خطرات بڑھ رہے ہیں۔
اقوام متحدہ کے عالمی ادارہ صحت نے دنیا کے 67 ممالک کے 795 شہروں میں فضائی کیفیات کا 2008 سے 2013 تک جائزہ لیا جب کہ اس جائزہ رپورٹ میں بھارتی دارالحکومت نئی دلی شامل نہیں ہے جو ایک عرصے تک فضائی آلودگی کا مرکز تھا۔

ترکی کے خبر رساں ادارے کے مطابق وزارت خارجہ کے اعلیٰ حکام نے  بتایا  کہ بنگلا دیش میں امیر جماعت اسلامی مطیع الرحمان نظامی کو پھانسی دینے کے معاملے پر ڈھاکا میں تعینات اپنے سفیر کو احتجاجاً واپس بلالیا گیا ہے۔
ترکی کا امیر جماعت اسلامی بنگلا دیش کی پھانسی پر شدید تشویش کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہنا تھا کہ بزرگ سیاستدان کو اتنی بڑی سزا دینا قابل مذمت ہے۔ اس قسم کے واقعات سے ہمارے بنگلا دیشی بھائیوں کے دلوں میں نفرت کی آگ بڑھے گی۔
واضح رہے کہ بنگلا دیش نے پیر اور منگل کی درمیانی شب 1971 کے واقعات میں پاکستان کا ساتھ دینے پر امیر جماعت اسلامی بنگلا دیش مطیع الرحمان نظامی کو ڈھاکا سینٹرل جیل میں تختہ دار پر لٹکا دیا تھا۔
